Dear Parents,
Thank you for signing up your children for the 2024-25 season of Stratford Minor Basketball! We’re excited to get started and are looking forward to a season full of growth, fun, and development on the court. Below is some key information to help you prepare for the upcoming weeks.
Start Date & Programming: The season will officially kick off the week of October 15th. Each team will have a weekly mix of practices and games, with occasional jamboree events to keep things exciting! Schedules will be shared soon and will be designed to suit the age and skill level of each group.
Program Leadership Lineup: We have a strong team leading this season's programs:
- Jason MacDonald – President & Mini Girls Coach (Grade 5-6)
- Brent Byrnes – Mini Boys Coach (Grade 5-6)
- Aaron Berndson – Jr. Mini Boys Coach (Grade 3-4)
- Jeff MacDonald – Jr. Mini Girls Coach (Grade 3-4)
- Ryan Keliher – Tykes and Small Ball Coach (Grade 1-2 & Kindergarten)
- April Gamblin – Small Ball Girls Coach
Each program leader is committed to providing a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
Insurance Coverage: All registered players are covered under our insurance policy for practices, games, and official events throughout the season, so you can rest assured that your child is in safe hands.
Social Media Disclaimer: To celebrate the achievements of our players and share updates with the community, we will occasionally post photos and highlights on our social media platforms. If you prefer your child not to be included in these posts, please reach out to us directly.
What’s Included in the Registration: Your registration fee covers:
- A Stratford Minor Basketball jersey
- A basketball for each player
- Weekly practices and games
- Jamboree event participation
- Insurance coverage All necessary equipment will be provided for practices and games, so your child is ready to hit the court!
Call for Coaches & Helpers: While our program leaders are truly fantastic, we believe that “many hands make light work.” You don’t need to have much basketball coaching experience to make a difference—if you’re willing to help, we’d love to hear from you!
